India women cricket team faced Pakistan women in their scheduled match of Women’s T20 World Cup on 19th March 2016 at Delhi and after toss Indian team skipper elected to bat 1st while keenly observe the pitch conditions of Delhi cricket stadium.
Indian openers M Raj and VR Vanitha came out to open up innings against their traditional rival but Pakistan from the start bowled really well and did not allow their opposition to play openly in their innings with bat.
India from the start remained under pressure and in front of strong bowling attack India lost their 1st wicket in just 2nd over of the innings. Pakistan bowlers due to their perfect line and length kept their opposition in deep trouble.
Pakistan women team bowlers from initial over put India on back foot and due to professional skills Pakistan put stop mark on the runs rate of India. As result the won Indian team succeed to score 96 runs in 20 over while lost their 7 wickets. V Krishnamurthy was the top scorer from Indian team as she played brilliant innings of 24 runs in depth over.
Pakistan in reply, started off well as both openers Nahida Khan and Sidra Ameen provided a strong start to their team and took their team to 19 runs in 3rd over of the match. Sidra Ameen the top scorer for Pakistan with 26 runs provided a good start to her team.
Pakistan in 16th over scored 77 runs while lost their 6 wickets but the match was stopped due to interruption of rain. The last news coming from Delhi is Pakistan won declared winners under D/L rule by 2 runs and 4 wickets.
