The 1st successful edition of Pakistan Super League is continue in Dubai and Sharjah and the 1st round of this event known as group stage matches round is nearly completed whereas the top 4 teams will face each other in semi final matches of this event.
Total 5 teams were registered in pioneer edition of this event whereas after the results of group stage round 4 teams qualified for the next round of this event. Lahore Qalandars due to consecutive defeats in their group stage matches eliminated from this event.
According to the rules of this event total 4 teams will qualify for next round and the qualifying matches will be scheduled between these teams whereas top 2 teams will face each other in final match and one team will become pioneer champion of PSL 2016.
As per the result of group stage matches Peshawar Zalmi ranked top in their group as this team have played total 8 matches and won 6 of them. Peshawar qualified for the semi finals of this event and this team will face Quetta Gladiators in 1st semi final who have finished 2nd in their group stage round with 6 victories and 2 defeats with their name in group
Islamabad ended up on 3rd position with 4 victories and 4 defeats and the last qualifying team is Karachi Kings who have won only 2 matches out of 8 and defeated in 6 matches. The important thing is that Karachi lost matches equal to Lahore but due to good run rate Karachi qualified for the semi final of this event.
In 1st qualifying match Peshawar Zalmi will face Quetta Gladiators on 19th February 2016 and this big match will be host by Dubai Sports Club whereas in 2nd qualifying match Karachi Kings will tackle Islamabad United on 20th February 2016 on the same playing venue.
From both qualifying matches top two teams will extracted and will confirm their seat in the finals of this event whereas cricket experts predicting Quetta as tough competitor in 1st match and Karachi as most favorite in 2nd qualifying match of this event.
